African Art Centre

I am the currently vice chair of The African Art Centre, a non-profit organisation which is committed to development work – specifically of african art and artists. The Centre teaches arts and crafts and provides an outlet for approximately 2000 artists and crafters to sell their wares. It is also a place where they can learn realistic marketing and fashion trends and pricing. And it is my favourite charity. Learn more at their website.

Heritage Arts Festival

Kizo Gallery also hosts the annual Heritage Arts Festival. The festival is unusual in that it has visual arts as the primary focus and I think it is just what Durban and we artists needed in the region. I sincerely hope that it becomes one of South Africa’s best-known art festivals. Find more details here.
